Quality Dining in convivial surroundings. Already
four food writers in East Anglia have highly commended the food here
over the last few months. The refurbished Horseshoe Inn provides a
new atmosphere as Chef Richard and his team provide freshly prepared
food from local produce and certificated butcher meat from local
suppliers.
Taken from April issue of ‘Restaurant Focus’…’The
Horseshoe Inn aspires to be a superb restaurant but Chef Richard
said he will not jump straight to pate de foie gras. (Oh no? Check
todays menu!) Instead try his
personal specialities of Cod with Poached Egg, or Lemon Chicken with
Thai delicacies…’
‘Local Secrets’ Cambridge’s independent web site
that
tries out restaurants without announcing themselves publishes their
judgement for all to see;
‘a credit to its design that two starkly separate sides to The Inn
sit comfortably together’. .. most striking feature of the openers
is their generous proportions, …on paper they may be mouth watering,
on the plate they are stomach filling, flavoursome…delicious…

'Big Village' Review
This Traditional friendly Restaurant is under new ownership and now offers a new range of menus. This period building has been tastefully extended in keeping with the original character offering low ceilings and exposed beams. The Horseshoe Inn can be found in Offord Darcy Between Godmanchester and Great Paxton. The Restaurant has ample parking with a children's out door play area available during the summer months
The ambience is very relaxed and friendly with polite cheerful staff ready and willing to serve.
The Big Village team all enjoyed the meals provided. We and our children were well catered for. We were not rushed into leaving our table early, being allowed to savour the food and each others company without pressure to hurry.
Other
Telephone bookings are available in advance. Watch out for the low ceilings!!! Child seats available.
Price
The Horseshoe Inn is not expensive and the value for money is
around the best in the area with quality food at reasonable prices
whether it be 'A La Carte' or the Pub Food Snack menu.
